Finally, after a few technical glitches last term our Primary 2/3 blog is up and running!
We had a great first week back and the class settled back into the school routine very quickly but I think everyone was rather tired by Friday afternoon.
We have been practising our addition by playing board games and puzzles. This was an opportunity for everyone to try using the different addition strategies they worked on last term while still having fun.
This spelling group took a word building challenge very seriously and here is a picture to share their success! Lots of effort was put into this task and they demonstrated how well they could work as a team.
We started our class P.E lessons for the term and over the next 8 weeks we are going to be developing skills and techniques in hockey. This lesson we were practising how to hold and carry the hockey stick while running which we discovered is trickier than it looks. We then worked on using the stick to control the ball. The class were very focused on this and managed to keep the balls under control.
Looks like you have had a great start to the term. Well done for working well together in your groups on your additions. I bet you were all tired after your hockey practice, i would have been.
